Bayelsa SSG's wife,10 others died in auto crash

Some supporters of first lady Patience Jonathan on Saturday night  died in ghastly auto crash that reportedly left 11 dead leaving a lone one survivor. Dame Patience Jonathan The Nation Online
 The accident occurred at Ahoada axis of East-West road in Rivers state.
 The Bayelsa Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission Mr. Vincent Jack  confirmed the development in a telephone interview with reporters on Sunday.He further explained that nine persons died in the fire that engulfed the vehicle; two died without burns while many others who sustained injuries are receiving treatment at Madonna clinic in the area.
According to him, the accident occurred when the tyre of an oncoming Toyota Sienna van exploded and rammed into the bus carrying the women, a situation that led to the bus going up in flames

It was gathered that a coaster bus in which the women were travelling bore the  inscription of  "Women For Change Initiative", a  pseudo-political NGO promoted by First Lady, Patience Jonathan.
 Gbaregolo Eseimokumo, a former Councilor in Ogbia LGA, Bayelsa, who is a relative to one of the victims, said Mrs. Consider Amadi a former women leader in Ogbia died in the crash.

Mrs. Clara Abila,  a grassroots politician, Mrs. Immaculate Amasimua former Commissioner Civil Service Commission Bayelsa, Mr. Elisabeth Oguru wife of the Secretary to the Bayelsa State Government also perished in the accident. Others are Mrs Zimbra Goma former Commissioner for Women Affairs, Hon. Ruby Benjamin former House of Assembly Member representing Brass Constituency 1 in Bayelsa amongst others.

According to a security source, all the women in the bus died except for a woman who managed to escape and is receiving medical attention.
