Obasanjo supports Buhari on certificate

The former President of Nigeria,Olusegun Obasanjo backed General Buhari on his certificate controversies saying that Buhari joined the army four years after him and there is no how anyone could be recruited into the army then without a minimum of school certificate.
Obasanjo was fielding questions during an event to promote his book ‘My Watch’ in London during the week, when he revealed that Buhari joined the military four years after him.

A Nigerian run away murderer, Abdul Adewale Kekere-Ekun, wanted in the United Kingdom for murder was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Thursday in Lagos.

According to the Premium Times, reliable sources in the commission said Mr. Kekere-Ekun was arrested over identity theft-related offences only for checks by later the agency revealed that he is on the wanted list of the UK Police.

Curfew in Gombe after Boko Haram attacked military formation

24hrs curfew has been imposed in Gombe state after a military formation was attacked by Boko Haram in Dadikowa town in the state this morning.The sect members reportedly arrived the town at about 6am today in 36 Hilux buses and a dozen motorcycles and attacked soldiers at the security checkpoints of the town. They then forced their way into the town and burnt the quarter guard of the 301 Artillery Regiment. They bugled some shops and also burnt down public institutions including the police station in the town.

The Nigerian military has launched airstrikes on areas the sect members are currently attacking. The state government has imposed a 24hr curfew in the state.

The Economic and Financial Crime Commission,EFCC has released a statement showing a youngman, Philip Agbodobri who bagged two years jail term for scamming people online.
"Justice P. I. Ajoku of the Federal High Court, sitting in Benin, Edo State, on Thursday, February 12, 2015 convicted and sentenced Philip Agbodobri to two years imprisonment without an option of fine for offences bordering on obtaining money by false pretence and internet scam. Agbodobri, who goes by different aliases - Graham Karlsson and Obrien Karlsson, was being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for engaging in internet scam.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission,EFCC has arrested the son of the former Governor of Adamawa state,Murtala Nyako on Friday morning.Abul-Aziz was arrested after two weeks that the father and son were declared wanted by the commission.
A statement by the spokesperson of the EFCC, Wilson Uwujaren, said he was immediately flown to Abuja, where he is currently being grilled by a crack team of detectives who had been working on the Adamawa investigation for several months.

13 year old pregnant after she was raped

A young man of 27,Tope Akintade years is in police net presently after raping a 13 years old primary 3 pupil, Beatrice and got her impregnated.
Akintade and Beatrice, an orphan, are neighbours at a compound on Baale Street, Agboju, Kuje in the Amuwo area of Lagos State.
The 13-year-old victim was outside washing plates in the afternoon, sometime in November, when Akintade, who hails from the Idanre Local Government Area, Ondo State, lured her to his room and forcefully had sex with her.

A man,Mr. Bidemi Shittu believed to be a manager in a bar is on the run after pouring fuel on his bar attendant,Ezekiel Emmanuel and setting him ablaze.The Ogun state police command is already doing everything possible to hunt him down.
It was gathered that the manager took the action because the teenager reportedly stole N1,500 from him.
The incident happened in the Akoka area of Ibafo, Ogun State, on Monday, February 9.
The runaway suspect, Bidemi, who is married with children, was the manager of Golden Fingers Bar in the area, while Emmanuel was one of his attendants.

The Deputy Governor of Niger state,Alhaji Ahmed Ibeto has been ordered to stop partaking in the state's executive council meeting for defecting to the All Progressive Congress,APC.
The governor also alleged that Ibeto called him a thief during one of his campaigns.
The source said that the governor in his opening remark before the commencement of the regular weekly state executive council meeting on Wednesday at Government House Minna, said he would not chair a meeting where the deputy was seated.

Jackie Chan's son released from prison

The son of Jackie Chan,Jaycee Chan who was sentenced to jail for drug offences has regained his freedom.Jaycee Chan was detained in August last year after he tested positive for marijuana and police found more than 100 grams of the drug in his Beijing apartment.
His management company, Mstones, said he was released early Friday morning and will hold a press conference on Saturday.
"He will make a formal public apology and give a full explanation," the online statement said.

Footballer arrested for killing a transgender girlfriend

A young and popular footballer,Carlton Ray Champion who plays with Texas college has been arrested for killing his 24 years old girlfriend,Ty Underwood after discovering she was a transgender.
Police first caught a break in the case when Ty's roommate, Kedrick Darks, told police Underwood had been dating a man named “Carlton” for several weeks prior to her death. Police say they interviewed Champion, who confirmed that he had been communicating via a service called “Kik” with Underwood, who was going by “Tyra” on the service. They were able to search Champion’s tablet computer and allegedly discovered communications between Champion and Underwood dating back to January 19, 2015.
