16 political parties want presidential election postponed

About 16 political parties have indicated their dissatisfaction with the level of preparation by the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC and called for the postponement of the oncoming presidential election.

 Also among those calling for the postponement of the elections are 4 presidential candidates.They are are Godson Okoye of the United Democratic Party (UDP), Sam Ekeh of Citizens Popular Party (CPP), Tuned Anifowose Kelani, Action Alliance (AA), and Ganiyu Galadima (ACPN).

They want the election postponed on grounds of insecurity in the country and poor distribution of Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC).

The political parties and their presidential candidates who threatened to boycott the election if Independent National Electoral Commision, INEC ignores their request and went ahead with the elections.
