Bombs explode near PDP presidential rally venue in Gombe

It was a horrible experience today in Gombe state when bombs exploded very close to the location where the Nigerian President, Goodluck Jonathan was having his presidential campaign rally in Gombe state minutes after the President left the venue.

The bomb exploded around 200 metres from the stadium in the city of Gombe, killing bystanders.
It was gathered from reliable sources that the Monday afternoon attack which was executed by a female suicide bomber immediately killed five women, including the bomber, while eight others who got injured in the suicide mission were immediately rushed to hospital for medical attention.

The blast occurred at Abubakar Habu Hashidu Road, about 200 meters from the Pantami stadium, venue of President Jonathan’s campaign in Gombe state .

According to reports, another bomb which was planted in a stationed tricycle, went off just minutes after president Jonathan and his team left the venue of the campaign making it a twin attack, Five people have already been confirmed dead
