Four armed robbers killed in Onitsha
Police in Anambra state have successfully oiled an armed robbery and kidnap attempt in Onitsha,Anambra state killing four and arresting 12 in the said operation.

The officer in charge of the State Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, in the state, Mr. James Nwafor said that following a tip off, the police trailed the gang to Asaba, Delta State, adding that on sighting the police, the gang opened fire on his men and in the ensuing exchange of fire, four members of the gang were killed.

He said that the other 12 suspects paraded were among those terrorizing Anambra State, adding that among those in the police net was a notorious armed robber and kidnapper, who killed the officer in charge of SARS in Onitsha, Mr. Emmanuel Ocheobi in 2012. The killed suspect belonged to the gang of the late kidnap kingpin, alias Ofeakwu, who was killed last year and his property demolished by the state government.

This is really to prove that the Governor of Anambra state has successfully employed an effective security strategy which dislodged the perpetrators of kidnapping and armed robbery in the state. Kudos
