We want praise worship day-group begs Jonathan

A group has called on the Predident of Nigeria ,Goodluck Jonathan ,to declare a national day of praise and wordship saying that it is a prophetic call on the nation to end the menace of terrorism in the country.The group who made this call under the platform of Sceptre Leadership International said it is in recognition of the level of massive killings by the insurgents in the north eastern part of the country that neccessitated this call.


President of the group, Pastor Wealth Martins, who made the call at a press conference in Abuja on Monday, lamented that if the group’s letters to the President on a prophetic message was adhered to before now, the lingering insurgency in parts of the country would have been a thing of the past.

He explained that Sceptre Leadership International is a vision-driven group led by God, comprising of leaders from various religious bodies drawn from across the globe and that the vision is to pray for Nigeria and its leaders.

According to Pastor Martins, God directed the group about eight months ago to ask Jonathan to declare national day of praise and worship as a final antidote to end the lingering insurgency in the country and “we have done everything within our power to reach the President but failed.

“God’s directives to Mr President to end the insurgency of this nation may be so simple in the eyes of an ordinary mortal but the message is that Mr President should declare a national praise and worship day and that when this is done, there will be a great calm in the country.

“The people that are perpetuating this evil in this country will start killing themselves like in the case of   Jehoshaphat in the Bible,” he said.
