Court Throws Out PDP'S Suit Against Defected Governors


The case initiated in court by the PDP against the Governors who defected from the party to APC has been thrown out in the High court.

n a ruling yesterday, the court dismissed the suit against Governors Rotimi Amaechi (Rivers); Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano), Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto), and Abdulfatai Ahmed (Kwara).

Boko Haram Frustrates My Government -Jonathan


Jonathan has made it known that his government is been so frustrated by the unrelenting activities of the Boko Haram group.
Speaking yesterday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja while receiving a delegation of the Creative Professionals of Nigeria (CPN), the president emphasised that his administration’s efforts towards containing the security challenges in the country were being sabotaged by internal and external forces.
He however, expressed optimism that the country would surmount the challenges as his government was working very hard to tackle the situation.

N3.1b Subsidy Scam-EfCC Rearraigns Tukurs Son


The EFCC has rearraingned the son of former Peoples Democratic Party ,Bamanga Tukur ,Mahmud Tukur and two others and their companies over their envolvement in N3.1b fuel Subsidy Scam.

The accused persons were charged alongside the companies — Eterna Plc, Axenergy, and Star Inspection Services Nigeria Limited — on 38-amended count charges bordering on conspiracy, obtaining money under false pretence and forgery.

In his new auto biography launched in Lagos yesterday the former president Olusegun Obasansanjo clearly described the former lagos state governor Tinubu as  one of  the most corrupt governor during ris reign as president and he described the former vice president Atiku Abubaka as 'a blatant and shameless liar'.

The former President also berated incumbent, Goodluck Jonathan describing him as an incompetent leader who has failed Nigerians. He also stated that Jonathan’s administration is inept and a colossal failure.

Obasanjo's Launches Auto-Biography Against Court Order


The three volume book launch which was fixed to hold on thursday is taking today at Lagos Country Club Ikeja Lagos.
 It was reported that the former President's legal adviced him to go ahead with the book launch for reasons that the court order obtained by Prince Kashamu Buruji a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and Chairman of the Organization and Mobilization Committee of the party in the South West, cannot stop him from holding the book launch.

Agbaje Flys the 2015 PDP Governorship Flag In Lagos State


Jimi Agbaje has finally emerged as the PDP'S governorship candidate after the primaries held in Lagos yesterday.Agbaje,a former governorship aspirant in the state under the platform of Democratic Peoples Alliance defeated another hopeful candidate in the race ,the former defence minister Musiliu Obanikoro having polled 432 while Musiliu Obanikoro scored 343 votes. In other results declared by the Chairman of the governorship electoral committee, Saidu Umar Kumo, Tokunbo Kamson scored 46 votes, Deji Doherty polled 21 votes while Babatunde Gbadamosi also scored 21 votes. There was however heated arguments over discrepancies in between the number of delegates and the number of total votes counted. While 806 delegates were accredited before the commencement of voting, 863 votes were counted at the end of the exercise. source

After the announcement of the result of the just concluded  senatorial primary election in Cross River central district, the leader of the senate Ndoma Egba rejected the out come vehemently citing irregularities.

 Ndoma-Egba, who addressed journalists in his residence in Calabar on Sunday night, hours after John Owan-Enoh had been declared winner of the primary election, described the entire exercise as a sham that is setting the nation’s democracy backward.source

Senate Race- Uduaghan Withdraws


Governor Uduaghan has announced his withdrawal from contesting for the senatorial seat in the coming primaries which will hold on sunday.

Uduaghan, who announced his withdrawal from the race at a press conference at the Government House, Asaba, on Friday, said he decided to withdraw after a meeting convened by President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja with the National Chairman of PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, also in attendance. But the Governor said he was not forced to withdraw from the race.source
