Jimi Agbaje has finally emerged as the PDP'S governorship candidate after the primaries held in Lagos yesterday.Agbaje,a former governorship aspirant in the state under the platform of Democratic Peoples Alliance defeated another hopeful candidate in the race ,the former defence minister Musiliu Obanikoro having polled 432 while Musiliu Obanikoro scored 343 votes.
In other results declared by the Chairman of the governorship electoral committee, Saidu Umar Kumo, Tokunbo Kamson scored 46 votes, Deji Doherty polled 21 votes while Babatunde Gbadamosi also scored 21 votes.
There was however heated arguments over discrepancies in between the number of delegates and the number of total votes counted. While 806 delegates were accredited before the commencement of voting, 863 votes were counted at the end of the exercise.
