Nyesom Wike Picks Rivers State PDP Governorship Ticket At Last

The former minister of education Nyeson Nwike has won with landslide in the PDP'S governorship election that held today in Rivers state.Out of 1108 votes cast ,he polled 1083 which produced him as the flagbearer in the comingb 2015 general election.source


Announcing the results, the Chairman of the Electoral Panel, Mr Bekeakpor Etifa, declared Wike winner over the 24 aspirants that contested in the primaries.

Etifa said that 1,150 delegates were accredited from the 319 electoral wards of the state while 1,108 voted in the election.

Making his victory speech, Wike thanked the delegates for finding him worthy of flying the flag of the party in the 2015 general elections.
He promised to reposition the state to the path of prosperity and harmonious relationship with the Federal Government.
