Contractor of SCOAN Collapsed Building Evades Court Appearance

 Drama ensued at the panel investigating the collapse of Synagogue church building which killed more than hundred people.
The contractor, who constructed the collapsed building at the Synagogue Church of All Nations Mr. Akin Fatiregun,has tendered a medical report from the Lagos state University Teaching Hospital  before the panel through his coucil,Serah Edoha saying that he is recieving treatment  and was adviced not to appear at the hearing.He therefore asked the court to give him time to recover before appearing .


Council to the Lagos state government questioned the authenticity of the medical report but it was argued that the said hospital has a good reputation to question a report issued from there.
 Council to SCOAN said ,its against the rule for a witness to send a delegate to represent him in court.

The preciding Judge finally took his decision thus:
 “I am not doubting the report obtained from LASUTH until the contrary is established. But the report shows that the contractor is sick.”
